I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood…I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.” Marin Luther King - August 28, 1963

Representative Bob Bridgham (D) Eaton shown here with Ossipee Chair Jaye Hays.
Jaye was recipient of the 2008 NHDP Award for "Grassroots Activism" in Carroll County.

Jaye Hays, Secretary of the Carroll County Democrats Executive Committee and Ossipee Town Chair, was the recipient of the N.H. Democratic Party's "Grassroots Activist Award" at this year's Jefferson/Jackson Dinner held on October 18, 2008, in Manchester, NH. Each year, this award is given to one person from each county for outstanding service to the party. As a relative newcomer to New Hampshire, it is all the more astounding that in a short four years, Jaye has organized and vitalized a dormant Democratic town committee. Because of her hard work, the Democrats of the area now stand proudly and work for our goals of electing great Democrats to office. She ran the southern office for the Carroll County Democrats and did her usual outstanding job. Congratulations to Jaye Hays of Ossipee.
