| News Release The Business Finance Authority was created by the General Court in 1992 to provide for the preservation, establishment, and redevelopment of business and industry in the state by expanding the availability of business credit. Thank you for granting me the honor of representing you in the New Hampshire House of Representatives for the next two years.
I currently serve as your State Representative for Carroll County District One, which includes the towns of I am grateful for the opportunity to listen to what you have to say about the issues that affect you. Each year, between the House and the Senate, about one thousand bills are introduced covering every conceivable issue. When you learn that a bill will affect you, either positively or negatively, please call or e-mail me, because I rely on you to let me know how a specific bill will affect you. When I ran two years ago, I said that I would listen to you, an that I would assess each issue on it’s own merits, to balance your concerns before I vote on any bill. That is the way I have approached the job and that is how I will continue to do the job. During my first term in office I have worked in a bi-partisan way to secure financial resources for our district, including $11million dollars in additional school building aid for the new Kennett High School, $6 million dollars for the Vocational/Technical wing of the high school, and $2.8 million dollars in Federal grants and loans for the Lower Bartlett Water Precinct to provide clean drinking water for Bartlett and to protect the Saco River Aquifer.
I have supported stabilizing health insurance premiums for small businesses and working families. I have supported local control of the village districts, restricting government authority to take your property through Eminent Domain, and I have stood up for our Second Amendment rights.
To keep citizens informed I write Letters to the Editors and submit news stories to the local newspapers describing the details of specific bills and the procedures of the Legislature.
