I am excited to have our first Democracy On Tap event for 2026!   This is also the date of our first ever Democracy On Tap which was held on January 13th, 2025.

I can think of no better way to commemorate the first anniversary than to hold a benefit for an organization that helps folks in our community: The Way Station.

Here are some details you need to know:

The purpose behind the cookie swap is to help raise money for the Way Station, which assists homeless people and families in the valley.

The cookie swap was envisioned as a way to get people to come to a fun event.  Those who wish to do so, can bring a batch of cookies.  Then, the attendees each get a bag/container to take a few cookies from each batch.

We would also be soliciting $40 gift cards, ideally from Market Basket, to enable Way Station clients to buy food and get out of the cold to get coffee or a cup of hot soup.  Checks would also be accepted...they can specify that the check is for gift cards, or for the general fund.

The fun starts at 6pm!  Please arrive early with your treats and to grab food and beverage.
